At TC, DeafBlind individuals learn more about their identity, language, culture, and community. Through development of their autonomy, some students decide they want to learn to become DeafBlind PTASL mentors. TC partners with Western Oregon University to train highly qualified DeafBlind mentors who are able to provide workshops, trainings, and education to their local communities. The mentorship program is rigorous and mentors have the opportunity to work with interpreters new to the field of DeafBlind interpreting.
